I’m a dad. I’m a husband. I have 2 dogs; one big, one small. I like sports. I enjoy the outdoors and mountains. Skiing is a passion. I absolutely hate having things in my pockets, wet socks, and shaving.
On a professional level, I spent 5 years in the corporate food and beverage industry doing a number of different things with marketing, sales, and business development before diving into the ski industry on the side of my day-job as a contracted writer and content producer, and then eventually full-time over the last 3 years with marketing and social media.
That social media stuff has become my passion. I love it because it brings business strategy, creativity, public relations and marketing together. Not to mention – voice, content and fun. Connecting your brand directly and immediately with fans and followers is exciting, and different every single day. I started using Facebook in the dorm room as it launched in 2004. It was very different then. After being a brand social media outsider looking in the first few years of my career, I decided the business side of social media was the path for me during the 2009 social branding boom. I was so intrigued with the new opportunities to talk to fans, clients, customers, and beyond.
It took a few years, but I was eventually able to merge my business experience with the social media world and I’ve never looked back. Sometimes you just have to go make it happen.
I’ve handled everything from social strategy and branding, voice, content and specific social campaigns…to daily community management, engagement, social ROI and analytics. I love this stuff.
